Problem/ Issue:

FB needs to moderate the content floating on the platform since it is now heavily political and polarising in nature. Since countless people now form their political ideology from the content consumed on social media, there is a dire need to flag inflammatory ideas, without censoring everything.

Hence the main problem is of censorship. Should a seemingly democratic platform like facebook be the censoring police just like other media.

On similar lines is fake news or opinions garbed as facts.

The other issue here is of statistical intervention and its validity.

Are the number of coronavirus cases in the world a determinant of the post covid economy anymore?

Who has it — worse for emerging markets (like India) or the developed Industrial countries (like Europe or USA)?

Is there respite only in protecting the supply chain (i.e. manufacturing) and the demand? With lockdowns not in the picture anymore, can the supplier in Mexico and the buyer in Europe still be in trade?

What about consumption? Who is going to a cafe for a warm fluffy bagel anymore, when you’re too scared to head out even?

What is this V-shaped recovery nonsense…

The vile conflicts of State and Centre revenue

Main source of income for both entities: Tax Revenue. Both the centre and state governments fight for the bigger pie. Of the national wallet, 42% should be given to the States. But the reality seems far from that. We have an anarchist government that doesn’t believe in sharing credit, which comes from the developmental work done, which in turn is dependent on the quantum of public funds in their kitty. So they’ve evolved newer ways to keep more public funds with them.

Like the increase in cesses and surcharges that is causing to widen the gap between states share of…

We are living in a semi intelligent world where most thought surrounds drawing cause and effect patterns and communicate the ones more widely acceptable.

While this premise of thought is correct and is engaged in by the average John on the road, the issue is when thought either stops there, or gets consumed in the more popular narratives spun around (resulting in either duplication or acceptance of unoriginal thought).

So, in order to understand nuance, one has to develop a more rigorous cause and effect pattern by going deeper into the why loop and questioning assumptions. …

How useful is expert economic speak?

As a long student of economics, I keep an eye on most economic banter that exists on youtube. And of a good majority of it is either shallow or accusatory or worst, recycled.

Raghuram Rajan, one of India’s most celebrated economic thinker has engaged in a series of public interviews on his views on post-covid economy. The outcome is a double dozen 1 hour long interviews with shallow and recycled insights that even my mother could arrive at.

The expectation from economic scholars is that to give remedies that either the government is incapable…

In your path to deciding what to do in life, the following have to be a consideration

  1. A large mass of people are affected (and benefited) by your work.
  2. You believe in the cause. You wholeheartedly believe in the cause and effect chain of what you’re doing.
  3. One needs expertise.
  4. It demands leadership from you. It calls for influencing people and managing their concerns and motivations.
  5. Should use your creative senses

Website practice and a book, OR a course on Coursera,

Especially when I have alot pending already.

I’ve scammed my very serious plans before, because something more valuable got in the way. And now, I’m tempted to dump my current plan for my new, more glorious plan. Do not let this happen, D.

And now about my product. And my umpteen projects. How do I end up doing everything???

Are sprints my only way to go?
